“In the past four years I have been forced to all I have hated in life.”

Have landed a good job in Bombay but hate the city way too much to go there. OK let's there is one month before I join there so let's spend this time looking for a better opportunity elsewhere. Suddenly, with Bombay coming to play, the list of locations preferred became very wide. Jobs were explored in Chandigarh and Hyderabad as well but nothing is stronger than destiny and I landed here four years ago.

Season Pass-This is what a monthly ticket for Bombay local trains is called. Rs460/month for Andheri to Victoria Terminus (now called CST or Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus)

OK I am here but I just can't live like an average Mumbaikar who spends a substantial part of his day getting squeezed like a sardine in local trains. Since the office was in Andheri, a house was rented there as the suburb although more expensive than some parts of the city, was still affordable.

Life went on. The plan was to move to Delhi before Manu was born but ended up bringing him here. Four years passed and the itch to move out of the job became stronger and stronger. Just like four years ago, the list of preferred location started expanding but this time even further by including Bombay in it.

After looking at the market requirements and expectations of employers from this profile, the resume was modified and then tweaked a little more and was sent out on a test basis to a few. A prompt reply and few trips to town later landed another good job. This time around, with RK Swamy BBDO.

Probable the last agency left in this part of the city, what a job here meant was spending a substantial part of the day getting squeezed like a sardine in local trains...just like an average Mumbaikar.
