One of the most important things in doing good work is taking pride in it and we see a lot of work done just to get over with it. If the people who did that work actually took pride in it, how would you explain the shoddy results?
Johny Joseph and his men and MUTP could benefit a lot if they took a little more pride in what they do. I was noticing how the work on the JV Link road has been done. The people who did that work obviously didn't took any pride in it and that is more than visible in a lot of places. For the past 3 years they have been asking us to bear with them for a better tomorrow and that tomorrow doesn't seem all that better to me and to some other as well who did this to a board.
Let's take a look at JV Link Road and see what MUTP has done here. If we start from my home, we can see the areas where the work is below par.

Just as we get to the footpath, we see that it is not complete. It is not under construction either because I have not seen anyone working on it for a long time.

Walking a little further, you will see these manholes that in reality are booby traps and not a manhole. All of them are left open for people to fall. I think just like there are a lot of people actively working to raise awareness about the land mines and removing them, we need to create awareness about open manholes and get them closed.

If we walk further up, we will see that the footpath just ends abruptly and right in front of you is about an 8 feet deep ditch. There are no lights in the road (at least so far) and you can imagine the kind of fatal accidents that can happen on this road. Now this is a mother of the booby trap.

Another example of how failing to complete your work can cause problems. The divider between the road ends much before the actual turn and guess what, the road is not made their either so you have a lot of people taking a turn before they should, some of them hitting this board before coming to a screeching halt.

The concrete road has been done in patches. You can see the obvious difference. In between you will see patches that are not all that smooth and as a result are developing cracks and holes in them

Here you can see that the road is made in patches, you can see a gap between the two patches which if filled with debris and dust and then the road abruptly ends. You can imagine how dangerous this can be on roads that have no lights and during monsoon when everything is covered with water.
