“You commit a crime, no one reports it but you still get caught. I think may be you should consider a different career.”

There are a couple of incidents in the past few days that made me wonder how dumb some thieves can be. In the present scenario I guess a school teaching basics to thieves and robbers will do very well.

A couple of days ago I was reading news in a paper about a 35 years surd thief in Uttranchal. He armed himself with gun and cartridges in his shoes. The idea was to rob truck drivers on the highway and I guess he was so impressed by his ideas that he decided to celebrate. Nothing wrong with it you would say. Well right but celebrating even before you have succeeds in doing what you wanted is a little too much. The guy drank country liquor and passed out and was arrested by police, even before he could rob or try to rob someone.

Another such news was on TV some time ago. In that case the thief actually got off with a very large catch but celebrated too hard. It was the case of burglary in the house of probable the richest jeweler in the country Tribhuvandas Bhimji Zaveri.

A carpenter who was working with them for a very long time had free access to the home and so did his son who also was a carpenter. The son was called to fix the lock of a cupboard and while doing that, he also picked another lock and went away with diamonds worth 4.5 crores (about a million US dollars).

How rich the family is can be guessed by the fact that they didn't even knew that they have been robbed. Now comes the worst part. A robbery was committed, the victim didn't even knew he has been robbed, no complaint has been lodged with the police and yet the thieves get caught.

I have to say either the cops are too good which is very unlikely or the two guys were big fuckin idiots that I think is more likely. You get money and what do you do with that go to dance bars and blow that money on bargirls attracting the attention of the owners who informed the cops. The guy gets caught and guess what. A jeweler also get in trouble ho made the earrings for the thief and the bar girl who got the diamonds left Mumbai and still they have not found her.

This reminds me of something one of my friend used to say "Phukhe jat katora labhya, pani pi pi aafarya" translated to English it means a thirsty man found a tumbler and kept drinking water till it was all about to come out.

Digg! Isn't there a school for thieves? | del.icio.us |
