This time of the year is quite eventful in Harish family. Starting with today, we will be celebrating something or the other till the 10th of next month.
Today is my parents' 45th wedding anniversary and on 3rd in the birthday of my son Manuraj. Actually that is the reason why Mira and Manu are still in north India and not here with me. I thought that it would be a better idea for to celebrate Manu's birthday in Delhi along with the rest of my family.
7th of December is the 15th wedding anniversary of my brother and sister-in-law.
On the 10th of December Mira and I will celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary. Even when all these things will be celebrated in such a small time duration, we will not be together to celebrate anything except Manu's birthday. Today I am sitting in Bombay and Mira and Manu are in Nangal. We will celebrate our wedding anniversary alone here and won't be with my brother to celebrate his anniversary.
Earlier we used to visit Delhi and when we would come back no one would know that we had gone anywhere. Ever since Manu came, things have been entirely opposite, the moment I entered the building last Monday, I was asked by one of the elderly gentleman Mr. Hiranandani where I had been?
“We were in Delhi”
“Manu and Mira are still there?”
“No they are in Nangal with Mira's parents.”
“So you went to Punjab as well?”
“Yes uncle, Punjab and Himanchal Pradesh as well where we were visiting Mira's sister”
“When will Manu come back?”
“I will go there on 2nd December and they will come back with me on the 4th.”
“Good.”
This is a conversation I have been repeating with everyone I meet and that includes not only my neighbors, it includes that presswala dhobi, the milk man, my local grocer, my chemist, the guard of the society as well.
Now my claim to fame is my son.
